Been waiting for over an hour for a car.... I called and set this up a week ago.. and called to confirm this morning. And they aren't friendly.
Still hasn't sat in the car yet . then said I can give a guy that works there 200.00 dollars cash "no paper work" to vacuum the car out or shampoo it and we can call it even . When I refused to pay that , he then asked well how much do you have .... "maybe he will work with you " this is all taking place outside by the car with just me and him ... I told him to just charge the card, I then asked for his name and he would only tell me his first name ."Julius" Ok thats fine I understand , I then Grabbed my belongings from the front passenger seat and left . I'll get a hold of corporate tomorrow to complain about how there Rockwall branch manager just tried to side hustle me with the smoke in the car scare tactic ... yeah I'm not falling for it . Give him or whoever 200.00 cash or pay the 300.00 smoking fee. I know a scam when i see one . Such a a shame , Be aware and let this be a warning !
Worst company ever!!! Left me stranded with no car for two hours!!! I had called 2 weeks, if not longer, to make sure I had a car waiting game hen I dropped of my civic at the body shop. When I called, which I did three times, they said it would only be 5 more minutes. 2 hours later the receptionist at service king had a mechanic drive me to a different hertz location located in mesquite and called to set up the new rental for me. Why am I going to call Rockwall hertz 2+ weeks in advance to set up a rental if your just gonna lie about its arrival time when it should have been Waiting when I arrived. Ridiculous hertz Rockwall!!!! DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!!! incompetent, inadequate, lazy, and liars!!!! 0 STARS IF I COULD.
I have been renting from Hertz for over 2 1/2 years and I have never experienced someone trying to cheat me. Julius have been the manager for as long as I can remember and he has always treated me with the up most respect. I have rented some cars that have been smoke in and it's not a pleasant experience for a non smoker to ride in a car that someone, smoke in. It's a clear sign that says 300.00 smoking fee. Hertz need to charge everyone who smoke in a rental1000.00 smoking fee, maybe that will stop them.
I called ahead to make sure my car was ready and it was. But when I got there I had to wait 30 mins for them to clean and wash it (even though I called ahead). Rates were really good. The car was arranged through my insurance company and they worked really well with them. Staff is kind and courteous! I dropped off my car and the next day I remembered I left an item in there. I called them up and they were more than willing to go search in the car for me! They went above and beyond.

Let me sum this up. Dropped the car off right after I cleaned it out and Julius the "branch manager" Said car smells like smoke as soon as he opens the door ... so Julius wants to charge me 300 for a smoking fee . I asked how can you tell and prove that I smoked in here . He said I can just tell ... I'm the branch manager and I make the decision.... "ok"
